Sewing

Recently took a class at my local sewing shop on “Curved Piecing” taught by Margaret Noah.  The technique was easy to learn and most importantly there were NO precise measurements required!  Our instructor had incredible talent and captivated the classroom.  Plus this class opened a whole new world of fun uses for fabric scraps!  Now all I need to do is figure out how to use it!

My first ever quilt square! Using curved lines makes all the difference for me because Im not a fan of precise measurement.

A couple days later I had to make another quilt square!  The color palate evolved into a watermelon mosaic and kept reminding me of my adorable little nieces.  So, the quilt squares became little drawstring backpacks.  And now that I had cute little backpacks, I had to fill them with something…..so I made a couple circle skirts using my favorite “Rainbow Baboon” fabric.
